Buvindu Jayawardhana - Tennis victory for Sri Lanka

Buvindu Jayawardhana from Maliyadeva College showcased his exceptional tennis skills at the First Capital SSC Open Tennis Tournament, securing the Under-12 Boys Singles Championship. He triumphed over Revan Amarasinghe of S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia with a decisive 2-0 victory, featuring a 6-3 and 6-2 scoreline.

Additionally, Buvindu is part of the Sri Lankan Under-12 Boys Tennis team, which won against the Maldives 3-0 at the ATF Asia 12 & Under Team Competition South Asia Regional Qualifying Event held at the Nepal Tennis Complex Stadium in Lalitpur, Kathmandu. The boys' team includes Jathya Thalammehara from Ananda College, Revan Amarasinghe of S. Thomas’ College, and Avin Dias from St. Joseph’s College, coached by Chehan Fernando. The event continues until May 24.
